Gerardo Elías Cortés (born May 17, 1988) is a Chilean midfield footballer. He currently plays for Santiago, Chile based club Palestino.

Cortés started playing professionally with Deportes Concepción. After going to Ñublense and back to Deportes Concepción he was signed by Colo-Colo in 2008 and was loaned out to Unión Española where he helped the team from being relegated to the second division. In 2009 he was brought back to play for Colo-Colo. Internationally he has presented Chile in the national under-20 football team participating in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada where Chile finished in 3rd place.[1]
For 2010 he will play on loan for Palestino.
